The Plain Pattern Project - Dress 1

Well, as I already said before I am attending "The Plain Pattern Project" challenge with this vintage pattern...

For the first dress I picked up the fabric that has been left in box with the remnants for years...blue/gray satin.

Basically....I don't like to wear satin, but the dress does not look too grand in combination with long-sleeved T-shirt and cardigan.
btw....my hair is a mess...I don't know what to do with it.

Presentation of a coat

I have to show you one of my vintage stockings.
I would say that the stockings are from the 30's.They are made of silk with cotton foot and welt.
Oxford's are from Bata

My Coat

Coat is a garment which I was afraid to sew. I thought that I haven't the right tools for making the perfect coat .... industrial press for example is a tool that you can not replace with anything else. My first attempt a few years ago confirmed this, although I think that the fault was on the choice of fabrics ... wool fabric was soft and rarely woven, and the lining was firmer..padded for extra warmth.
Well, this time I chose better quality fabric with classic polyester lining and it turned out much better. I am satisfied.

Time For a TrenchCoat

Since I did not find in stores lady-length trench coat, that is, below the knee, I have to sew it myself.
I have to say that there was much to do with all those extras that go along with the trench coat, but it was worth it.
